Adam is a successful MBA (Masters in Business Administration), fluent in Spanish having lived and studied in Seville (Spain), Madrid and San Sebastián (Basque Country) for many years. He speaks several European languages, including French and some Italian and Portuguese. After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Spanish, he later completed his MBA at Kent Business School and at the University of Deusto (San Sebastián), during which time he received a distinction in Advanced Business Spanish.
Adam worked as a management accountant for an industrial holding company, and as a professional Spanish to English translator for many years. He is a full member of the Institute of Linguists (MCIL), and is qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). Among his other duties, Adam is ultimately responsible for the overall management of the company, with specific focus on the supervision of all translation work carried out at Business Language Services Ltd.

Rhys is a native speaker of English and Welsh. He studied German with Business Studies at Swansea University, which included a year studying at Reutlingen Business School and working as a translator and project manager in Bremen. He then completed a Master’s degree in Translation Studies with Language Technology in 2012.
Rhys was promoted to a senior role of Operations Manager in September 2016 and now works closely with senior management to ensure the successful provision of all of our translation, localisation, interpreting and language training assignments. He plays a key role in ensuring that Business Language Services Ltd. runs smoothly and efficiently so as to meet the needs of our many customers. Rhys continues to be involved in specific translation projects and proof-reads German into English, as required.

A graduate of Cardiff University twice-over, James has a BA Joint Honours in French and Italian, and an MA in Translation Studies. Furthermore, he has a knowledge of a number of other languages including Spanish and Welsh, and is looking to add Portuguese and Chinese to the list.
Born and raised in Cardiff, James has lived around the world, including Chambéry (FR), Pavia (IT) and Lichfield (UK), but finally returned to his home town to settle down in his work and home life.
James joined the company in April 2015 as a Project Manager and has since worked his way up to the Senior Project Manager role for the company. James is ultimately responsible for overseeing customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and assisting with language quality processes in accordance with our ISO:9001 accreditation. His project management duties involve coordinating individual projects from start to finish, customer and supplier liaison, and, time permitting, translation and proofreading.

Born and raised in Brussels, Laura is a native speaker of French and started her career at BLS as an intern in the spring of 2016. After completing her 10-week placement, Laura returned to her native Belgium to graduate from the Université catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve with a Master’s degree in Translation Studies. As part of her Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting, Laura spent a semester at Cardiff University where she started learning German and taught French as a foreign language. In 2015, she was part of the subtitling team for the Brussels Short Film Festival. While at University, she also taught Dutch and English as a foreign language to French-speaking secondary school pupils.
Laura speaks French, Dutch and English, and continues to improve her German skills after having taken evening classes at Cardiff University. Laura also successfully passed the Belgian equivalent of a Spanish A-level.
In addition to her project management duties, she translates English and Dutch texts into French and reviews English, Dutch and French texts.

Sarah is a native speaker of English and Welsh. She studied BA French & Italian at Cardiff University which included a year studying at the University of Catania in Sicily and the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Geneva. She also has knowledge of German and Spanish, and is keen to improve her skills in these languages.
Sarah joined the company in January 2017. In addition to project management, she undertakes Italian to English, French to English and Welsh to English translations and proofreads and edits English and Welsh texts.

Claudia is a native speaker of German. She studied Modern Languages and Translation in Manchester and taught German A-levels in high schools and evening courses in colleges to adults. She has also worked as a freelance translator specialising in business and medical texts and completed an Intensive Course in Translation Technology at UCL in London. She then moved to Wales and completed her Master’s degree in Professional Translation at Swansea University. After working as a Project Manager at a translation agency in Swansea, she moved to Cardiff and joined BLS.
Claudia speaks fluent German, Polish and English, and has some basic knowledge in French.
In addition to her project management duties, she translates English into German and proofreads English, Polish and German text.
